Axis STEM Academy (Website for Axis STEM)applies the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) to investigate and question the interrelated facets of the modern world and the intersections of technology and culture.  This high achievement environment is designed to inspire a student’s ability to imagine a world shaped by their own innovation and design. The focus area class is Principles of Engineering and Design (POED). This course exposes students to major concepts they will encounter in a college engineering course of study. The curriculum is designed to develop problem-solving skills and apply student research and design to create solutions to various challenges and real world problems.  These projects will be integrated throughout the Focus Area’s classes to create a holistic educational experience that pushes the traditional confines of the classroom.
